TLC Massage Pet Therapy

This was certainly an interesting project. I had never thought I would make a video about Pet Massage, but I have to say I was very glad to have the opportunity! Valerie of TLC Massage was one of the most upbeat clients I've worked with, and her dogs were easily the most well behaved and talented I've seen. Valerie takes her dogs on the road participating in various events including agility and barn hunt(?). Agility is what you have probably seen in passing on TV with the Kennel Club competition where dogs jump over hurdles, through hoops and dash into tunnels.

I wasn't honestly quite sure how to approach this project, but I figured shooting it like an interview would work well so long as I kept the focus on the hand motions involved in the massages. The audio was a bit of a challenge to say the least. The indoor audio turned out great, but outdoors was another matter. This video was shot in late Fall, and in Illinois the bugs can get very, very noisy. I was able to scrub out some of the noise in Adobe Audition using various filters, but it's fairly easy to see where things didn't work so well.

Overall this was a great project to work on and I learned a lot more about the professional dog industry than I ever thought I would! If you're a dog owner and you want to truly pamper your dog, keep an eye out for my client's DVD. You can learn more about Valerie and even hire her to massage your dogs at www.TLCmassagePeoria.com
